Sourced from 15 rows of pre-phylloxera vines that are over 140 years old, the Thomson Family Shiraz has been classified as 'Outstanding' in Langton's Classification of Australian Wine. The vineyard was first planted by Henry Best in 1866 and first indentified as 'Hermitage'. The Thomsom Family Shiraz was first bottled in 1993, 100 years after the Thomson family first settled in the area and is a wine of great concentration and balance. Thomson Family is only made in the exceptional years.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
