Lake's FollyCabernets 2000
About this product
Lake's Folly was the first new vineyard in the Hunter Valley last century, established by Max Lake and his family in 1963. The property changed hands in early 2000 to Peter Fogarty and his family who, along with local Hunter winemaker Rod Kempe, have continued to maintain the integrity and direction of the Folly. The 2000 vintage came from an excellent season giving a deep crimson colour with purple hues. The nose is full of dominating rich berry fruits, cedar and chocolate leading to a beautifully structured palate with a superb balance of concentrated fruit flavours and delicate tannins. This wine will drink well up to 2020 and beyond.
