Gorgeous magenta colouring. Medium bodied with soft, plush varietal fruit. Velvet tannins and a rounded finish, a touch of blackberry conserve and some tertiary goodness emerging. Plenty to enjoy here.

80% destemmed and 20% whole bunches. 18 months in French oak (25% new). Deep, ruby red. Ripe, with aromas of black plum and cherry, subtle spice-rack spices and some black olive tapenade. The palate is rich yet balanced, with fine-grained, plush tannins rounding out a heady and tasty wine that will provide plenty of enjoyment over the next 4–6 years.
