Grant Burge
Shadrach Cabernet Sauvignon 1998

Wine styleDry, Full Bodied style of Cabernet Sauvignon

About this product

Shadrach is predominately Coonawarra fruit blended with fruit from the Cameron Vale Vineyard in the Barossa Valley. This blending increases the minty, green-leaf characteristic of the wine, regarded as a essential element to super-premium Cabernet by the Grant Burge team. Coming from one of the best ever vintages in South Australia, the 1998 Shadrach is a subtle, elegant red wine showing an abundance of mint, mocha and blackcurrant flavour married with quality oak that is already well integrated and in no way dominates the fruit characteristics. The palate shows great length and structure which ensures that the wine is both drinking well on release and has the potential to benefit from long-term cellaring.
