5 Tales Pinot Gris 2022

Pale straw with a green hue. Rich lychee, intense nashi pear and stones fruits. Underlying creamy notes lift from the glass giving the nose depth. Rich and vibrant palate of citrus and ginger spice. Lifted tropical mid-palate leads into a creamy texture from the oak component. A textured acidity adds to the palate's drive and length. Harvested in the cool of the night with no SO2 addition to ensure no colour pick up from the "red skins". Processed and clarified as quickly as possible to retain the fruitfulness of the variety. The use of organic yeast helps create the flavour and aromatic profile keeping true to a pinot gris style. Matured in oak for six months post-fermentation to add creaminess and texture whilst maintaining a fruitful edge.
