Great to see Mr Mick, well, Tim Adams, having a crack at fiano. This delivers a pale and fine-boned expression of the variety, perhaps denying it its full flex of character, but there's nashi pear, faint green almond notes and some sage leaf herbal characters in both the bouquet and palate. Pleasingly bright, with a good sense of chalkiness in texture, a gentle succulence and all around easy appeal. The finish pulls up pretty short, but what's here does the trick for a simple, dry fiano.
