I liked the 2010 version of the Brokenwood pinot gris and I'd say this 2011 edition is better again. It grown on Brokenwood's Beechworth vineyard. I'd reckon the folks at Brokenwood would be thrilled with the way this is travelling. This 2011 is a wine of terrific intensity. Lemons, lime, apples, spice, rosehip - that kind of thing. It's fragrant and flavoursome, textural and persistent. Immediate burst of aroma and flavour. Tip-top.

Delicious flavours throughout. Some lanolin, lees complexity and loads of unctuous richness. Nashi pear, spiced florals and green apple notes are ever present and lead to a long finish. Good poise and persistent length.
