Lake's FollyCabernets 2007
About this product
Lake's Folly was the first new vineyard in the Hunter Valley last century, established by Max Lake and his family in 1963. The property changed hands in early 2000 to Peter Fogarty and his family who, along with local Hunter winemaker Rod Kempe, have continued to maintain the integrity and direction of the Folly. The 2006 vintage was a good one. Still in the grip of drought, the summer didn’t have quite the prolonged intensity of heat seen in the previous vintages. A dry harvest period also assisted in getting the grapes to their optimum maturity.
