Jean-Marc BrocardChablis Premier Cru Mont de Milieu
About this product
Surrounded by Chablis vineyards on all sides, the family estate was founded in 1973 by Jean-Marc Brocard, who has since been joined by his son Julien. The estate spans almost 200 hectares, 66 of which are certified organic. Precision, power and freshness are the signature characteristics of Brocard wines.
The term Mont de Milieu (middle mountain) comes from the ancient separation that used to cross the vineyards here between Burgundy and Champagne. At the top of the slope here stands a stone boundary marker bearing the coats of arms for Burgundy and Champagne. Enjoying mainly southern exposure with some facing southeast, these vineyards grow in a higher than average temperature and receive more sunshine. These conditions ensure that the wines produced from the vines here are always of a wonderfully high quality.
Pale yellow with silvery glints, with expressive, spicy, peppery aromas. On the palate, it opens with aromas of lemon zest, fresh almond and white flowers. A full, precise and generous wine.
