Château du Cèdre
Le Cèdre

Wine styleDry, Full Bodied style of Malbec

About this product

Located to the east of Bordeaux in France's south, Cahors is the home of Malbec in France. Known to produce wines of immense power and concentration with ample tannin that can take come patient cellaring to integrate. Château du Cèdre produces on of the best examples from the region with a wine that is almost inky in both appearance and texture. After spending 24 months in 80% new French oak, the wine begins to show aromas of smoke that is followed by sour cherry and increasing flavours of blueberries, cassis and black olives. A foreboding wine that requires good decanting and a rich, hearty meal to be fully enjoyed.
