Château Léoville-Las-CasesSaint-Julien 2007
About this product
Although classified as a 2nd growth, Château Léoville-Las-Cases can claim to produce wines equal and superior to some 1st growths. Léoville's label (Grand Vin de Léoville du Marquis de Las Cases) doesn't mention the "Château" as a result of it's 18th century standing as not only the most important Château in St-Julien, but of all the Médoc. While firmer, and slower to mature than most St-Julien's, recently the wines have filled out and are not only elegant, but extremely powerful and concentrated.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

‘...another outstanding effort from this estate. Already somewhat closed, it is a candidate for one of the longest lived wines of the vintage.’ Robert Parker The Wine Advocate #188 Apr 2010
