Vintage 2018
94 points
There's exuberant lashings of creamy red and black fruit, without heaviness, but maintaining outstanding flavour, here. The 2018 vintage provided ideal growing conditions in the Barossa, hence the wine displays the effortless generosity that only comes from really good vintages. Notes of chocolate, licorice, fruit cake and a layer of silky tannin stamp their personality on this rich, warm Barossa shiraz icon. Herb encrusted, oven baked rack of lamb would match brilliantly.

Magenta/crimson in the glass with aromas of blackberry, Doris plum, blueberry and mulberry fruits cut with hints of baking spices, pressedpurple flowers, fruit-and-nut chocolate, glacé cherries, turned earth anddried citrus rind. The classic Ringland depth of fruit and sense ofcompression are on display here, with a dark fruit palate, plenty of cloveyspice, tight, fine tannins and a velvety flow on the exit.
