About this product

Bouchard Vigne de l'Enfant Jésus is a truly remarkable wine named after a truly remarkable story. The founding carmelite of the 'Domestiques de la famille du Saint Enfant Jesus' predicted the birth of the future King of France, Louis XIV, even though his mother was sterile! Upon the birth of the remarkable child, the vineyard that belonged to the carmelite's took the name 'Vigne de l'Enfant Jésus' - Vines of the Baby Jesus. The Pinot Noir that is grown on this historical site is grown on a combination of limstone, clay, sandy and gravelly soils to produce a wine of utmost power and elegance. Superb fruit and spice aromas and followed by a full, yet delicate palate with remarkable complexity and richness.
