BouchardCorton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2007
About this product
Bouchard's Grand Cru Corton-Charlemagne is truly a gift to the world. During the time of Emporer Charlemagne, the Emporer was enamoured with the wines of Corton, but wished to have a wine that did not stain his white beard. Hence, Chardonnay was planted and Corton-Charlemagne was born. Now one of the world's most important Chardonnay vineyards, Corton-Charlemagne has a complex and elegant nose of green apple, wet stone and subtle spices which merge into rich, full and impressively powerful flavours followed by a long and bone-dry finish. Simply outstanding.

A cool, airy, complex and gorgeously elegant nose is more restrained than these Puligny-based grand crus while offering up notes of green apple, pain grillé, stone and very subtle spice notes that merge into rich, full and impressively powerful flavours t
