Château Ducru-Beaucaillou was the first second growth producer to break away from the crowd and start to attract higher prices and create the Super Seconds group that it belongs in. With a name originating from the estates first owner, Ducru, and the name of the vineyard itself, Beaucaillou, Ducru has long produced wines of utmost elegance and lovely balance. 1989 was a dream vintage, one of the best of the decade. Extremely well crafted, this prestigious red wine is into its drinking window at the moment, and will continue up until 2020.
