The 2006 Crozes-Hermitage Les Varonnieres is absolutely stunning. A beautifully projected, fragrant nose of sweet black fruits, licorice, truffle, and incense soars from the glass. Dense ruby/purple to the rim, this full-bodied wine has sweet tannin, yet lively acidity. It is a beauty that can be drunk young or cellared for 10-15 years.
