Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.

The 2006 St.Joseph Les Granits exhibits an inky bluish/purple color, a stunning nose of incense, and perfumed black fruits with hints of acacia flowers, blackberry, and raspberry. The wine is seamless, opulent, but with acidity more noticeable than any tannins, yet I am sure they are there. This is a gorgeous wine, one of the great cuvees of the vintage, and perhaps one of the more fairly priced.
