Château Léoville-Las-CasesSaint-Julien 2006
About this product
Château Léoville-Las-Cases is classified as a 2nd Growth, but can rightfully claim to produce wines equal and superior to some 1st growths. Léoville's label (Grand Vin de Léoville du Marquis de Las Cases) doesn't mention the +Château+ as a result of it's 18th century standing as not only the most important Château in St-Julien, but of all the Médoc. While firmer, and slower to mature than most St-Julien's, recently the wines have filled out and are not only elegant, but extremely powerful and concentrated. The 2006 is one of the stand outs from a vintage that has surprised many with its fruit weight and clear propensity to age.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.
