Pressed after five days' fermentation to avoid excess tannins, and racked four times in barrel, but not fined (or filtered); the wine is tannic, and you have to wonder why not forget the early pressing (perhaps) and the racking (definitely) and fine the wine. Strange. Does have remarkable depth of red and black cherry fruit attesting to the care in the vineyard.

A very good wine... It''s modern, well crafted, not particularly sweet and yet ripe and flavoursome. Both generosity and restraint, in the one glass. I came away majorly impressed.
