For the past 50 years, the iconic vineyards in the Langhorne Creek region have been producing award-winning fruit that has gone into the Metala and many others. The 2007 Metala comes from a difficult South Australian vintage due to low rainfall and higher than normal temperatures. The resulting wine though displays remarkable freshness with ripe, bold fruit and a subtle crushed herb note that gives the wine a nice medium-bodied feel that is perfect to match with some Ratatouille.
