A fine regional cabernet. While known for shiraz, perhaps, it is cabernet from the Clare that is more expressive and synergistic with quality expressions from elsewhere. Inimitable currant, leaf, graphite and a motley sash of herbal aromas. This couldn't be anything else. The tannins, too, are firm but nicely melded into the fray. The oak, an adjunct.
