PenfoldsBin 138 Grenache Shiraz Mourvèdre 2007
About this product
The Grenache grape has always been the backbone of the South Australian wine industry and Penfolds have been blending Grenache with Shiraz since the 1950s. Recent years has seen a growing trend for the luscious perfumed styles like those emanating out of the northern Rhône and the Bin 138 produces a brilliant example. The 2007 Bin 138 was borne out of a warm, drought effected vintage, yet due to the age of vineyards at Penfolds' disposal, the 07 is a wine of great concentration with lovely notes of lifted violets and blue/black fruit.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.
