Lienert EstatePIQ Piqpoul
About this product
‘PIQ’, or Piquepoul, is the newest white wine from the Lienert stable. A fresh dry white akin to Eden Valley Riesling, but without all that mucking about in high altitude stuff. In a nutshell, Piquepoul is kind of like Riesling, but with a tantalising ocean mist character about it. Heralding from southern France, this crisp refreshing white has claimed ‘Official Oyster Wine’ status in its home country, such is the degree to which oysters and Piquepoul are joined at the hip. It does of course pair equally as well with mussels, abalone, clams and pipis!

Youthful and restrained, the bouquet shows pristine aromas of lemon peel, crunchy apple, and white floral. The palate offers bright fruit flavours with linear mouthfeel, well structured by crisp acidity, finishing mouth-watering and lingering. At its best: now to 2029
