A concentrated mass of black currants, dark plums and sweet blueberries. Black hearted, to be sure. An engaging whiff of undergrowth and herb perfume adds allure. Notes of fresh spice and bright red fruit provide energy and lift at the finish. This is a wine of subtle charms and wonderful fruit purity. A great pleasure to drink. Cellaring for at least 5 years will bring out the best in her.

Medium deep crimson. Intense blackcurrant, mocha, espresso aromas with cedar, roasted chestnut notes. Richly concentrated wine with blackcurrant, praline, mocha, touch panforte, chinotto flavours, dense chocolaty/ dusty tannins and well-balanced cedar/ sandal wood notes, Finishes chocolaty with fresh long acidity. Elemental wine needing time to develop to allow oak fruit and tannins to fold into each other. Drink 2025 – 2045
