Vineyard Series Willowlake Chardonnay

Oakridge's Vineyard Series matches particular varieties with specific sites to give you outstanding examples of single vineyard wines. This wine was sourced from the north-facing Willowlake Vineyard, sited in the red volcanic soils of Gladysdale. There’s volume and expression from the outset here. Grilled peach, white nectarine, quince and flint, then richer attributes - guava, baked apple pie notes; a pastry like richness. Thiscarries over on to the palate but is laced with white flowers, flint and cordite. For all that voluminous aroma, the palate is medium bodied and composed. A yellow apple acidity tucking everything in place. The flavours linger for minutes, a testament to the power and concentration of this old vine vineyard.
