Teso La MonjaAlabaster 750mL
About this product
Teso La Monja is located in the Toro region, just South of Rioja on the banks of the Duero River. Temperatures here can be extreme, ranging from -17 degrees C in winter to 37 degrees C in summer. In this region, the grape variety Tempranillo is known as Tinta de Toro.
The fruit for Alabaster is sourced from ungrafted, pre-Phylloxera vines that are over 100 years old. Aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels, this is a deeply rich and intense wine, dense purple in appearance and brimming with dark plums, Asian spices, and Teso La Monja's hallmark notes of aniseed and liquorice. It is rich, lush, and textured on the palate, yet extremely well balanced with a juicy acidity. A great wine that is powerful and complex, with an extremely long finish.
