About this product

If you want to explore Australian Pinot Noir, here’s where to start – William Downie’s Pinot Noir comes from sites around Gippsland, and is crafted by the hands of an undisputed Pinot master. A blend of grapes from Matthews Vineyard (Berry’s Creek, South Gippsland), and fruit from Downie’s own estate in Baw Baw Shire (West Gippsland), this is true Gippsland terroir, bottled. This is a haunting Pinot, with complex, fruit-forward aromas of blackcurrant, raspberry, blackberry, and allspice. Slight minerality and stoniness is imparted from the volcanic earth, a signature of Downie’s wines. Elegant structure and complexity are in abundance. Drink now, or later.
