William DownieCamp Hill Pinot Noir 2022
About this product
This wine could only have come from the hand of Pinot savant William Downie. His Camp Hill Pinot Noir, made in the heart of West Gippsland, is packed with fruit grown at altitude (250m), in a vineyard with panoramic views of Baw Baw Shire. These grapes, from vines planted in 1998, grow with panoramic views of Baw Baw Shire. This is an unexpected Pinot Noir, and it speaks to its unique terroir. The red, volcanic soils impart a refreshing minerality and line of acid on the palate. It’s tight and bright, with citrus, plum and rhubarb on the palate. You’ll notice this unfurl, gracefully, with age.
