If beer was a mythical kingdom, there’s no doubt that stout would rule the realm. Dark, earthy, biscuity, and timeless - it’s our brewer’s favourite for good reason. Our latest rye stout pairs complexity with drinkability... no tricks, no spins... just great, straight-up stout, just as it should be. Each year Little Creatures brews a winter stout, each with their own variation, loved by many. 2023 isn’t any different. Off the back of the success of last year’s stout, we are again delivering a straight up stout, with no funny business. We’re excited to have partnered with Voyager Craft Malts again, an Australian malt-house to use their specialty rye malt which we’ve used in this brew.n a nutshell the beer is essentially a straight up stout with an addition of selected rye varieties from Voyager malts. Rye malts introduce complexity into the grist and impart notes and flavours of biscuit, and qualities of earthiness and spiciness. As a bonus it supports head retention and can improve mouth feel in a beer. A smooth easy drinking and well-made stout with a hint of something interesting going on in the background.
