HenschkeCyril Henschke Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
About this product
Deep crimson with ruby hues. Spicy, fragrant aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, tamarillo and violets are lifted by nuances of cassis, cocoa, black liquorice and crushed flowering herbs. An alluring core of concentrated black fruits is framed by cedar, clove, star anise and black olive, with focused acidity and fine-grained tannins driving a long, powerful finish.

To be precise, includes 1% cabernet franc, matured in French hogsheads (20% new) for 18 months. An almost monastic portrait of cabernet, the power of the fruit making the oak and tannin contributions (relatively) unimportant. Blackcurrant, bramble, blackberry and black olive are the lead players.
