Tomintoul Master Distiller, Robert Fleming has carefully selected single malt distilled in 2010 and matured initially in exceptional ex-bourbon American oak casks. The single malt in these casks has been married then finished in the finest Oloroso Sherry butts sourced from Andalucía, Spain.
The Oloroso Sherry butts perfectly complement Tomintoul Single Malt imparting rich fruit flavours, which enhance the character and complexity of our whisky.
Nose: Rich aromas of dried fruits and toasted nuts mingled with chocolate biscuits, vanilla pod and sweet baking spices.
Palate: Sweet layers of maple syrup, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate ganache leading into fruitcake, caffe latte and cedarwood.
Finish: Chocolate fudge cake, golden raisins and hints of cooked apple fading into cacao, ground coffee and toasted oak.
