Expectations were well met when the Dan's panel tasted the 2021 vintage of the famous Wolf Blass Black Label. For a master class in classic Australian full-flavoured red simply pour a glass of this. Absolutely dense black/purple to the core, the wine is hugely flavoured, yet showing elegant restraint at the same time. We were enthralled by the black fruit, tapenade, licorice, dark chocolate and cigar tobacco notes swirling about in the glass. There's a lot going on in this beauty. A classic, still compact and under a tight rein - cellaring will be most beneficial.
