This Road Block Shiraz has been sourced from premium parcels of grapes grown on pebbly sandy loam soils over clay. These heavier soil snd large slabs of ironstone over the sandstone, result in a generous expression of shiraz. An enticing nose of mulch, fresh leather and dark red berries mix with inky tones on the nose. A savoury line of fine powdery tannins funnels the wine. With time in the glass violets, graphite and sweet spices emerge. This is a complexing style with a lovely velvety texture that will cellar well for a decade or so.

Wonderfully intense, laden with carefully balanced portions of ripe black and red fruit flavours, energizing acidity and plush tannins - all in total harmony. The team at Chapel Hill must have been licking their lips when fruit from this famous vineyard hit the crusher! The Road Block vineyard comes through, once again, staining everything in its path! Opaque, controlled power! Succulent enough to enjoy now but cellarable for many years.
