Lots of biscuity malt character from the best quality Scottish malted barley. Crystal malt adds toffee and caramel taste and black malt contributes a crisp astringent balance. Challenger and Goldings hops add a fresh herbal and resin hop note as well as a refreshing bitterness to balance with the sweet malt character Produced by Greene King Plc and imported by Pinnacle Drinks, part of Endeavour Group Limited.

OK, I wasn't expecting that, what a drop. Definite caramel flavour comes through, darkish, not like Guinness, but a dark ale none the less. BTW, tastes nothing like a Guinness if that isn't your thing, more like a regular beer. Bought one a

Quality brew. Very session-able. Great flavour profile with a good balance weighing more towards malty influences with the perfect amount of hoppy goodness. Great at any temperature.

This is a lovely beer with deep tastes. It should be drunk when cool but not cold so that all the flavours are evident. The only trouble is that Dans in Albury only has very small numbers of bottles per week (12). I have had no explanation
