About this product

Lost Farm Wines is a Tasmanian cool climate winemaking project of the Angove family. The grapes for this wine were hand harvested, at optimal flavour ripeness, from two vineyards located in the northern Tamar Valley. They were cold soaked for five days at 2 to 5 degrees and fermented for seven days, before being gently pressed and matured in seasoned French oak barrels for 10 months in a climate-controlled barrel hall. Each barrel was then individually evaluated, with the final blend being assembled for bottling. Vibrant purple in colour with a red hue hint and a nose that is lifted, aromatic and full of cherries and red fruits. The palate is full of red berries, cherries, spice and deft oak. The delicate, silky tannin structure carries the wine through the mid palate giving it a long seductive finish.
