Tamar Valley pinot noir, predominantly from the Glenbothy vineyard just to the south of Launceston; 15% whole bunch matured 10 months in French oak, 25% new. Mid-ruby with red and dark cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry with exotic spice, dried game meats, leaf litter, dried shiitake, citrus blossom, wakame and earth. Complex and quite meaty and savoury with pure red and dark fruits, just a light sheen of Campari, fine, silty tannins and a lovely briny acid drive.
