The immediate aromas evince a mineral-clad authority wrapped within an embrace of finely tuned French oak serving as a chaperone of flavour, textures and a carapace of ageability. A marrow of creamed cashew, hazelnut and nougatine is strongly reminiscent of Meursault, usurping the glimpses of stone fruit pith beneath, at least at this nascent stage. The strongest accents align with allusions of wet stone, the reverberating melody of nuts, blossom and a salinity that drags the flavours very long. A great wine that projects an effortless grace as much as a resounding profundity.
