An exceptionally well executed Barossa classic using high-grade fruit and bringing to bear many years of winemaking experience. The 2020 is made in the modern way with balance being the key. The richly fruited nose gives notice of the plushness to come. The wine delivers a soft carpet of complex fruit flavours such as wild raspberries, blood plums, black cherries - all succulent and sumptuously satisfying. Framed perfectly by silky vanillan oak and ultra-fine tannins, top marks must go to the growers and the winemaker.

Medium crimson. Fresh red cherry, strawberry, red plum aromas with cola/ chinotto notes. Pure, crisp and supple with attractive red cherry, strawberry pastille, hint roasted walnut flavours, fine loose knit slinky tannins, some mid palate viscosity and long fresh acidity. A refreshing buoyant style with very good varietal definition and energy. Drink now – 2026 14.5% alc 93 points
