This is a super example of the 2019 vintage, which was less opulent than the 2018 but with beautiful purity of fruit and expression. Sourced from Karridale and Wilyabrup with less new oak than the super-premium Pennant. All wild yeast fermented and 10 months in French oak has contributed to the lithe savoury characters and lip-smacking acidity sustaining a very long fine palate. Precise and long… When you can get a classy chardonnay like this for about $40 you just have to say hallelujah.

This is very fine, generous, spicy Margaret River chardonnay: salted yellow peaches, lemon zest and crushed white pepper coalesce in the mouth the form a sleek whole. Three more years and this wine will really shine.
