Hand picked. Fermented largely spontaneously with 95% whole bunches and a dollop of whole berries. Eight days on skins, with press wine blended in before 9 months in used barriques. Not the ideal wood for grenache, even if used. The menthol-mocha tones, still apparent. Nevertheless, the curve ball of grape tannins is a pitch of beauty. The velocity, impressive. The raspberry bon-bon, tomatillo, pomegranate and dried herbs, a crowd brought to life.- Ned Goodwin MW
