About this product
This is a complex wine with a deep color and great length on the palate. The aromatic palette is very rich and delicate, with a dominant aroma of small black fruits and oriental spices. A wine full of velvety finesse. The fruit comes from two different plots; the main plot being located in the upper part of the appellation.
The soil is composed of scree particularly rich in limestone. The plot is planted mid-slope on Lower Bajocian entroque limestone and Bajocian marl. At its summit, the vines grow on clayey Bathonian limestone.
Clos de Bèze is often described as the feminine counterpart to Chambertin. It represents the elegance and finesse of Gevrey-Chambertin.
