There aren't too many better cabernets priced under $20 on the market, this wine over-delivering in every context, especially that of the Clare Valley. The colour is good, the bouquet and palate a complex array of cassis, mulberry and eucalypt on a cushion of ripe tannins. The only quibble is the amount of oak influence.
