At Cigalus, to craft premium wines in the South of France, Gerard Bertrand has opted for organic methods, a system of living vine growing which enhances the expression of the terroir and the unique characteristics of the grape varieties in the best plots of the estate. All the work in the vineyard ploughing and pruning and in the cellars is driven by a calendar based on two celestial objects the moon and the sun.
The Indomptable de Cigalus Blanc, produced from a blend of chardonnay, viognier and sauvignon blanc, has a beautiful shiny and limpid golden yellow colour.The intense and complex nose reveals notes of grapefruit, white peach, honey and dried fruit with toasty hints. The palate is full and silky, ripe, with notes of vanilla, butter and exotic fruits.
