94 points James Halliday Wine Companion
From vines planted in 1989, matured in oak barrels for 18 months prior to blending of which 47% was new French, 29% old American and 24% old French. Blackberry skin, blueberry and crushed juniper. Black pepper, clove and mace. Shiso leaf and unearthed beetroot and lavender. A lingering but subtle gumleaf green. Velvety tannins with savoury spice and good length. A niggle of heat just on the finish.
