This could easily have been named Pepperjack-plus. Recall the richness of normal Pepperjack, then double it. Concentrated Barossa goodness in a bottle - booming with flavour. Inky black fruit, char, chocolate, damp earth, lead pencil and licorice block flavours are all to be found. The tannins, unlike normal Pepperjack, are quite granular. A tip - consume the wine with red meat (I presume you are supposed to) and the tannins will be hardly noticeable. A serious Barossa shiraz to share at your next barbeque. It’s a wine that will cellar well, too.

50% single-vineyard Greenock shiraz, 35% Lyndoch and 15% Koonunga; 18 months in seasoned and new French and American oak. An impressive and voluptuous display of pure Barossa shiraz with lovely dark plum and berry fruits, baking spice notes, purple floral tones, dark chocolate, violets and judicious oak use. There's an impressive plush fruit flow on the palate, superfine ripe tannins and a lovely weight and texture to its form.
