Malbec is in new territory for the Adelaide Hills. It's settling in nicely. Red plums, raspberry, blueberries and vanilla introduce a friendly, fruit-generous wine. It's all about the fruit, soft and unctuous with a thread of briar and earth running free and long. Delicious.

Enticingly youthful, dark and purple in the glass. The aromas are ripe, dark-fruited and fleshy. Mulberry, plum, coffee and spice, there's also a meaty, charcuterie lift that adds complexity. Tannic and structured on the palate. There's a richness of plummy, mulberry dark fruit, then a tart cranberry, sour-cherry-like acidity kicks in and gives freshness and drives a bright and fresh palate. Big, firm and fleshy, with plenty of mouth-coating tannins, but balanced.
