With 4.5% shiraz. Matured for 9 months in French oak (36% new). Intensely dark and structured, this has all the Margaret River hallmarks that make cabernet so great here. Whether or not the wine needed a little lashing of shiraz remains to be seen (we will never know), such is the purity of cassis and wild raspberry that are alternately woven through the fine tannins and briny acidity present in this wine. Lovely stuff, for sure.
