Block E is situated on the North Facing Slope of the Clyde Park Vineyard – hand pruned, trained and harvested. Planted in 1996, this unique parcel was fermented separately with indigenous yeasts and 40% whole bunch inclusion before 9 months maturation in 30% new French oak puncheons.
Bright dark purple colour, intensely aromatic fresh roasted coffee beans, liquorice all sorts and blackberry compote. Palate shows spiced oak, black pepper and inky ripe red fruit. delicately structural with equal parts texture and integrated primary red fruit this cool climate Shiraz can be enjoyed immediately or will pay dividends with careful cellaring.
