Made by the Bungo Meijo Distillery producing premium quality sake and shōchū for over 100 years in Saiki city in the Oita Prefecture, this unblended and undiluted honkaku shōchū is made from 100% Japanese-grown barley polished to 50% grain size and Dianthus flower yeast. It is an award-winning barley shōchū with a fruity and full-flavoured palate and is best savoured straight-up chilled from the freezer or on the rocks.
