From one of the few cabernet vineyards in the Upper Yarra; planted at 240m elevation in Wandin East. Matured in French barriques (30% new) for 15 months. A deepish, bright crimson purple. Fragrant and leafy with dark cherries, blackcurrants, violets and a little cedar. Comes into its own on the medium-bodied, nicely concentrated, elegant and gently persistent palate. Should age effortlessly over the next decade or so.

A very attractive, youthful, deep, purple red in colour. Complex aromas of cassis, bramble, violets, dark cherry, cedar, graphite and clovey oak. Really attractive. There’s lovely brightness, drive and purity on the palate. Dark cherry, blackberry, iodine, and briary underbrush flavours are all weaving their magic around some pretty serious and shapely tannins. Very smart structure and purity of cabernet here. Lovely ‘luncheon claret
