This Valpolicella, hailing, of course, from Veneto, displays a light/medium cherry/plum colour, and evinces memories of savoury cherries, pomegranate, woody herbs and hints of leather. It’s an undemanding, “easy drinking” red, in that pleasant, interesting way, that all good, basic Valpolicellas should be. If you are seeking a light, but characterful style of red to slurp down with your pasta tonight then this may be the one.
